The Answer Depends

As a tale that is told,
We scamper and sigh.
We give then we take,
We create then we brake.
We submit then we run.
We cry it is done.
Tell me, how can this be?
Is life what we see,
An endless circle?
Yes or No?
The answer depends.
Some roads always end.
Choice is the deal,
Not just what we feel.
Pressure breeds thought.
Watch out – Don’t get caught.
The trap’s being set.
We dare not forget.
The past was a school.
Life’s not always cool.
Choose wisely!

Do you know why you’re here?
Have you asked, are you sincere?
Do you listen?
Do you wait;
Ponder and investigate?
With open ear?
Is your life on the line?
Are you struggling;
Walking blind;
Caught in fear?
“Listen Close,”
A voice doth say.
“Life is more than just a day.
And you must care!
Do you know on whom to call?
Have you read the book at all;
The Bible dear?
Give me you heart.
The voice doth speak,
I know your frame;
I know your weak.
But I’m here!
Jesus Christ is My Name
I am every day the same
And always near.”

Father Said

You are not your own preserver,
You are not your own keeper.
Look to me, I will supply,
I’m not a man that I should lie.
Have not I told you in my word,
I would feed the little bird?
You by far are more to me,
Than any little bird could be.
So do yourself a real big favor,
Count on me and do not waver.
Forget the things that are behind,
Mistakes you made, when you were blind.
